No Imprisonment Against Tax Evasion Case For UBS


The IRS’s triumph with the 2009 and 2011 offshore amnesty programs doesn’t mean everybody came presumptuous.  There are still remaining cases concerning unrevealed accounts and profits in the pipeline.  Basically, the IRS and Justice Department are still keeping in track of the marketing and promotion of such undertakings.  Actually, the U.S. government considers there are still countless Americans using Swiss banks to evade compensating billions in taxes.  The primary concentration may have been UBS, but in 2009, UBS compensated $780 million to settle U.S. unlawful charges that it aided roughly 17,000 American customers with $20 billion in resources keep accounts from the IRS.
